2. Permitted Use and License
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use our application solely for your personal, non-commercial Mandarin language learning purposes. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, redistribute, or scrape our vocabulary databases and audio recordings.
3. Educational Disclaimer
Learning Chinese is designed as an independent study aid to help students prepare for official HSK (Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì) examinations and general Mandarin literacy. While our curriculum follows official Hanban standards, we are an independent educational product and are not directly affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Hanban / CTI testing authorities.
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Certain features may require optional in-app purchases or subscription tiers:
- Billing Authority: Purchases are handled directly through Apple App Store (In-App Purchases) or Google Play Billing. Payments are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective platform provider.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle within your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
- Refunds: Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google pursuant to their platform refund policies.
5. Intellectual Property
The Learning Chinese branding, logos, custom stroke order algorithms, audio compilations, software code, and editorial content are the exclusive intellectual property of Learning Chinese. Standard public domain Hanzi character definitions remain under their respective open cultural heritage licenses.
